In the previous article we talked about how your daily products may contain ingredients you don't know about. Now let's take the practical step: scan a real product, step by step, so you can see for yourself.

أول شي — ليش نثق بتطبيق INCI Beauty؟

First — why trust the INCI Beauty app?

INCI Beauty تطبيق فرنسي مستقل تماماً، يعمل منذ ٢٠١٧ بالشراكة مع مدرسة هندسة كيميائية (Sigma Clermont). ما تقدر أي علامة تجارية تدفع له عشان يرفع تقييمها. يحلّل كل مكوّن حسب درجة خطورته ويعطي المنتج تقييم من صفر إلى عشرين. هذا الاستقلال هو اللي يخلّي رأيه يستاهل الثقة.

INCI Beauty is a fully independent French app, working since 2017 in partnership with a chemistry engineering school (Sigma Clermont). No brand can pay it to raise their score. It analyzes each ingredient by its hazard level and gives the product a score from 0 to 20. That independence is what makes its opinion worth trusting.

The steps — scan your product in a minute

لو المنتج ما طلع بالباركود (أحياناً المنتجات الجديدة ما تكون مسجّلة بعد)، تقدرين تبحثين عنه بالاسم، أو تصوّرين قائمة المكوّنات من العبوة والتطبيق يحلّلها لك.

If the product doesn't come up by barcode (sometimes new products aren't registered yet), you can search for it by name, or photograph the ingredient list from the pack and the app analyzes it for you.

كيف تقرئين النتيجة؟

How do you read the result?

التقييم رقم من صفر إلى عشرين — كل ما زاد، كان أفضل. بس الأهم من الرقم: قائمة المكوّنات الملوّنة. كل مكوّن ياخذ لون:

The score is a number from 0 to 20 — the higher, the better. But more important than the number: the color-coded ingredient list. Each ingredient gets a color:

اضغطي على أي مكوّن تشوفينه أحمر أو برتقالي، والتطبيق يشرح لك ليش — بلغة بسيطة. هنا تبدئين تفهمين منتجاتك فعلاً، مو بس تقرئين أسماء غريبة.

Tap any ingredient you see in red or orange, and the app explains why — in simple language. This is where you start to truly understand your products, not just read strange names.

ملاحظة: التقييم أداة مساعدة للوعي، مو حكم نهائي. المكوّن «الأحمر» مو بالضرورة خطر عليك شخصياً — بعض الناس عندهم حساسيات وبعضهم لا. الهدف إنك تختارين بمعرفة، مو بخوف.

Note: the score is an awareness aid, not a final verdict. A "red" ingredient is not necessarily dangerous for you personally — some people have sensitivities, some don't. The goal is to choose with knowledge, not fear.
